The No. 3, named in honour of the British No. 2 which is in heavy service, is a flamethrower-type weapon. The No. 3 has superb ergonomics and very high pressure which translates to long range and low spill. Notably the front lacks a lighter, that is because the fuel sets fire to most things on contact; Chlorine Trifluoride. ClF3 is an extremely potent oxidizer, which means it can set fire to things like concrete, glass or asbestos on contact. It is also an extremely toxic substance, a property that extends to the fumes it produces during combustion. The dangers of carrying ClF3 around are massive, but the FSRD has decided it is worth it for the sheer volume of destruction it can bring to bear against the strongest cryptids.
