The ArmaLite AR-10 is a battle rifle designed for the American rifle trials of 1955, meant to replace the M1 Garand. Springfield's M14 prototype and FN's FAL also competed; the first won, though the AR-10 saw purchases by numerous smaller countries, including a few orders towards Oceanyka. However, this unsuspecting rifle would later be rechambered into .223, giving birth to the AR-15 and a family of weapons that would dominate the American Armed Forces' armouries for almost a century. In Oceanyka, it is considered a fine example of American manufacturing excellence, and sought after.
