The Thompson is an iconic weapon. Though used to great effect by the Allies during World War II, it is vastly more infamous as the signature weapon of America's interwar gangsters. Some historians say that the Thompson is the gun that made the 20s roar. A character may spend one Stamina Point to Magdump! an enemy within Short Range.
The M1921 Thompson is a .45 ACP submachinegun of the interwar era. It gained notoriety due to its popularity amongst street criminals, bank robbers, bandits and especially the American mafia, as one Thompson allowed the solo mafioso to outgun a number of police officers equipped with revolvers, shotguns or simple rifles. The Thompson shipped with a 50 round drum magazine, though 20 round box magazines were also issued. It can be distinguished from its younger WW2-era cousin by the presence of a forwards grip and a finned, air-cooled barrel.
