The 10.5cm FlaK 38 is a German anti-air cannon which was developed parallel to, and as competitor, to the infamous 88mm guns. However, it had similar performance despite being much heavier, and so it was relegated to static air defence. During French and Soviet bomber raids, it was the 10.5cm guns which rained hails of shrapnel on their formations, as most 8.8cm guns were on the frontline.
