The Vought F-8 "Crusader" is an American supersonic air superiority naval fighter operated by the US Navy. It is the last of its kind designed to use guns as its primary armament, normally two pairs of 20mm autocannons. The most common model is the Vought F-8E, a more developed variant with improved electronics, engine and a modern fire control system capable of firing air-to-ground missiles. F-8s had a major role in the infamous Gulf of Tonkin Incident, which dragged the United States into the Vietnam War as an ally of the German Empire. The very few F-8 Crusaders that have been smuggled into the Oceanykan market are highly sought after by veteran airmen.
