The Remington XP-100 is a single-shot bolt-action pistol designed and produced by the Remington Arms Company beginning in the mid-1960s. It is exclusively chambered in the company's own .221 Remington Fireball, which despite the weapon's short barrel, rivals the muzzle energy of cartridges from the same family, such as .223 Remington/5.56x45mm NATO. As such, despite lacking the versatility of the Thompson/Center Contender or the potential firepower of the Wichita Arms P-1 Deadeye, the XP-100 makes up with unrivalled precision at medium range, in a tiny package.
