The S-125 "Neva" is a Soviet surface-to-air missile (SAM) of the Cold War. It began mass production during the mid-1960s, and although smaller and shorter ranged than its predecessor the S-75 Dvina, it is far more manoeuverable and resistant to electronic countermeasures. Its naval version, the M-1 "Volna", is a cornerstone of Soviet, Chinese and Oceanykan missile destroyers.
