The Ikara (meaning "throwing stick") is an Oceanykan anti-submarine weapon designed and produced by the autonomous city-state of Melbourne in its Bass Strait Naval Complex. It consists of a rocket which throws out a Mark 44 Torpedo at a range of up to 19km away, which automatically seeks and destroys enemy submarines in its general impact area. Naturally, this weapon also works perfectly against smaller surface warships at ranges that guns typically cannot reach.
