From the invention of tanks up until the eve of WW2, solid shot or Armour Piercing was the most popular for anti-tank work. Throughout the Cold War only the British continued using it. Despite its lack of explosives, AP makes for a decent anti-fortification ammunition. Because it is a chunk of steel with a copper driving band, AP is very cheap to manufacture.

APC and APCBC are similar types of ammunition with an aerodynamic steel cap in the front, allowing for greater ballistic performance.

When employing generic AP shot:

  • Apply full DMG.
  • Apply full PEN.
  • Calculate no fragmentation.

If AP Shot is marked as "API (Armour Piercing Incendiary)", it may set ablaze things like ammunition, fuel and inflict Burning on Flammable creatures.

As AP Shot is Kinetic, it loses PEN over distance.
