Full metal jacket bullets (or FMJ) are a worldwide standard, especially in the military. These consist of a soft lead core encased by a thin copper jacket. Such an arrangement improves spin, accuracy, velocity and prevents lead poisoning from continuous firing. FMJ ammunition is effective against almost any targets under any conditions, though it struggles against armour plating.
