Thardid Jimbo is a giant humanoid spirit which is claimed to eat men as if he were permanently starved. According to legend, he was once a mortal man who lived in a walled city sieged by an Ankic army. When the settlement ran out of food, people began killing each other for meat. Eventually Ankic forces went in unopposed, only to find a single man, who claimed to be named Thardid Jimbo. He slaughtered and consumed the entire army with his bare hands, escaping into the wilderness to hunt for more meat. His story is a metaphor for numerous social taboos and undesirable tendencies.
It is said that psychopaths and cannibals are so because Thardid Jimbo whispers into their ears, telling them his great epics and feats, which drive men insane.
