The sauroflea is a type of blood-sucking insect native to eastern Australia. Its only notable characteristic is its size, at a leg spread of a whole 8cm. A small team of these creatures can suck dry a small mammal in a few minutes, while being a huge annoyance for larger mammals including humans. They accomplish this by nerve-inhibiting compounds in their legs and proboscis which prevent them from being detected by the skin or when sucking blood. Also capable of transmitting Yersinia Pestis, better known as the bubonic plague.

Historically, sauroflea legs and proboscis were grinded up and refined into what's known as neuropaste, a strong tranquilizer agent.
