The northern giant centipede is an infamous species of arthopod, especially in the northern jungles. The carapace is resistant to low calibre firearms, its mandibles are strong enough to rip a hand in a single bite, their mobility is sufficient to surprise a regular human in a stealth attack and their venom can paralyse an elephant in a single dose. Northern giant centipedes are carnivorous, but highly vulnerable to airborne predators. They can measure up to four meters long and 300kg in weight.
