Methamphetamine is a synthetic chemical compound which when consumed (usually by inhalation) can elevate mood, increase alertness, concentration and energy in fatigued individuals and reduce appetite, for which it is considered a potent combat drug. However, an increased or long-term consumption it can induce psychosis, breakdown of skeletal muscle, seizures and brain bleeding, not to mention its extreme addictiveness. Frequent consumers of this drug often become lanky psychopaths with atrocious teeth, known in popular slang as methheads. Methamphetamine is produced by some pharmaceutical companies but is more commonly seen as a product of clandestine laboratories.
