The M61 Vulcan is a Gatling-style rotary cannon that fires 20mm rounds at a very high rate of fire. It is the standard cannon on most US military fixed-wing aircraft since the 1960s. This weapon can be driven by hydraulic, electric, or pneumatic power depending on its configuration. It can fire up to 6,000 rounds per minute in bursts or continuous mode. Such an enormous rate of fire is useful for shooting down low-flying aircraft and missiles, as well as providing ground support. The M61 is also mounted on some ground and naval platforms, such as the M163 VADS and the experimental Phalanx CIWS

Because of its unmatched firepower when it comes to aerial dogfighting, this is the most coveted autocannon for Oceanykan pilots, who will pay enormous sums of money to have it smuggled from Vietnam, Korea, Okinawa or other such zones with great American presence.
