The Outback Deathstalker is a species of scorpion native to Australia's vast inner desert. It is named after the Deathstalker, a scorpion from the Middle East and Northern Africa, though it is unrelated to that species. For this reason, it is sometimes called "False Deathstalker" by entomologists. It is a carnivore with fairly regular behaviour and anatomy for a scorpion, save for its stinger which contains a cocktail of neurotoxins. Venom from the Outback Deathstalker may reach the central nervous system and can easily prove fatal or crippling without treatment, while its sting is one of the most painful in the planet.
