Mitrailleuse Hotchkiss de 13.2mm Modèle 1929

Heavy Machinegun

The Mitrailleuse Hotchkiss de 13.2mm Modèle 1929 machine gun, better known just as the Hotchkiss M1929, is a French magazine-fed 13.2mm heavy machinegun historically used as an anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapon. It operates on the same gas mechanism as its predecessor, the Mitrailleuse Hotchkiss Modèle 1914, and spawned a larger calibre alternative in the Canon de 25mm Antiaérien "Hotchkiss". These weapons were extensively used during World War II by Neosocialist France and proved particularly deadly against low-flying Allied aircraft, as well as unprotected foot soldiers.
