Thump-Thump
M79s are known by many nicknames. "Bloop gun" and "thumper" are the most common due to its unique sound report, which resembles a cork being pulled out of a bottle. However, amongst American troops in Vietnam, it has gained a more sombre reputation: "the platoon leader's artillery". This weapon's user can spend one Stamina Point to fire and reload thrice as Reaction Fire in rapid succession.
American special forces in the jungles of Vietnam have found their M79 Grenade Launchers more useful when cut down to the bare minimum, rendering them much lighter and manoeuvrable in thick vegetation. Perhaps the first and most infamous users of sawed-off M79s were the MACV-SOG covert operations group. Because of the simplicity of this modification, it easily spread to Oceanyka.
