The Joint Paranormal Interception Unit or JPIU is a joint task force between the Oceanykan Federal Intelligence Agency and Federal Special Research Division with the Mardasian Internal Security Service and National Defence Force. After an unexplained event that wiped out much of Mardasia's only Maori Anti-Paranormal Secret Societies, the two nation's governments saw a need to create an organised international force to fill their gap. They've been working together against the anomalous threats of New Zealand since March of 1963.
