The Colt Woodsman is an American semi-automatic pistol that was produced by Colt's Manufacturing Company beginning in 1915. It was designed by the legendary John Moses Browning and is recognized as the first successful .22 Long Rifle semi-automatic pistol, feeding from a 10-round magazine. The Woodsman came in three series with various models, though the Match Target model is the most iconic. An all-around capable handgun, the Woodsman is particularly known for its unparalleled precision, especially the Match Target model which was specifically made for target shooting.
