The Arado Ar 234 "Blitz" is a German fast bomber designed during the late Second Weltkrieg. It was intended to replace other German light and fast bombers which were quickly becoming obsolete as Soviet jet fighter production ramped up. The Ar 234 was powered by two Junkers Jumo 004 jet engines, giving it a maximum speed of 740 km/h, ferrying up to 1,500 kg of bombs in external mounts. Following the war, the Ar 234 continued to serve in the Luftwaffe as a light bomber, but advancements in jet engine technology meant that true Cold War strike fighters could carry many times as much ordnance as a single Ar 234 while maintaining their air-to-air capabilities. Most Ar 234s were scrapped or sold to third-world countries, including Oceanyka.

Ace Pilots
The Luftwaffe was, at the Second Weltkrieg's outbreak, the most well-trained air force in the world. This commitment to quality over quantity was kept despite the changing priorities of an industrial war. If this aircraft's pilot has a Flying skill of at least 3, add an Easy DM to all of their actions; if their Flying skill is 6 or above, add a Very Easy DM to all of their actions.

Roaring Blitz
When the Arado 234 soared over the skies of the Soviet Union, their commanders could not believe it; the Germans had produced a jet bomber which could penetrate Comintern airspace, wreak havoc upon their rear and retreat as fast as it came. It kept true to its namesake: the Blitz, or the Thunder. When bombing any enemy unit or installation from low altitude, add an Easy DM to its hit rolls.
