The Type 99 Model 2 machinegun is a Japanese autocannon chambered in 20×101mmRB. It is a "heavy" derivative of the Type 99 Model 1 Machinegun which partially forgoes its lightweight advantages in favour of greater range and penetration. Nearly all Type 99 Model 2 autocannons were upgraded to the Mark 3, 4 or 5 standard, which notably throws away the Oerlikon FF's magazine-fed action for a reliable belt feeding.
