The Children of God (Arabic: أبناء الله, Abnāʾ Allāh) are a militant Salafi organisation that emerged in the wake of the Black Sand War. Initially an umbrella group uniting Islamist insurgencies across the Middle East and North Africa, it quickly grew into a highly structured, transnational terrorist organisation, trained and equipped by Sadat's Moonlight Commandos. The Children of God believe themselves to be the chosen vanguard of a new Caliphate, inspired by the work of Sayyid Qutb and Anwar al-Sadat, with the ultimate goal of purging the world of secularism, Western imperialism, and communism through terror, subversion, and holy war. The Children of God maintain a vast network of safehouses, training camps, and financial hubs across West Asia 🌴, patronaged covertly by The Caliphate of Sadati Arabia. However, their influence stretches far beyond the Middle East, with strongholds across Africa and Central Asia, as well as operational cells in Europe, the Americas, and Oceanyka. Their leadership are suspected to operate from a complex in Riyadh, which oversees global operations and coordinates high-profile terrorist attacks.
The Children of God see themselves as the divine sword of the faithful, rejecting both Western capitalism and Soviet communism as blasphemous constructs. Their doctrine dictates that only through total war, religious purification, and global upheaval can the Ummah be liberated from foreign corruption. The group fuses Islamist theocracy with Neosocialist militarism, adopting totalitarian discipline, rigid ideological indoctrination, and ruthless methods of control over their territories and recruits. Unlike traditional Islamist groups, the Children of God do not just seek to conquer, but to reshape human society into an absolute state of divine submission, where all governance, culture, and science serve their radical interpretation of faith. Unlike conventional terrorist groups, the Children of God primarily employ former soldiers, making their attacks far deadlier than traditional insurgencies, as demonstrated during the 1968 Mexico City Terrorist Attacks.
