party took a few days worth of downtime where Arkorow and Devinn did a lot of brewing, removing most injuries, and both of them did foraging as well. While foraging, Arkorow met the forest spirit he gave a hug while they fought at the shrine to Veil. He named him Green Tree, but scared him a bit, and Green Tree turned into liquid... right on his head. Both Devinn and Arkorow returning to camp separately, Devinn had spotted a black manor-type building on a hill to the west, while everyone commented that Arkorow looked drenched like someone had emptied a bucket of white paint on him. Devinn's prestidigitation returned Green Tree to his corporeal form. Introductions were made.
They then decided to investigate this manor that Devinn had spotted. To get there, they went through a tunnel where they fought two flail snails. Investigating the manor, they found several things; magic items, dead humans who seemed to have died in a scuffle, and below ground, they found a large dwarven family each turned to stone in their rooms. Mordus assured them they died of natural causes. No one except Mordus knew that dwarves turn to stone when they die. party agreed that the best thing to do for now was to leave the statues alone.
They hauled everything back to the campsite. Conversations were had. Stories were shared. Then, dreams were dreamt. Arkorow dreamt of being in Capital where Buddy showed him a vision of a great wizard's spire being erected by Morgan. Devinn had a strange dream of walking on an infinite pathway where a copy of him looked back at him at the intersection. Mordus had a dream where he saw a different sword like his own, stabbing a drow woman and absorbing her dagger which shared the likeness with his sword.
