Session 43: Ripped From Time

July 2, 2022

Taking a rest after fighting the badgers, Mordus had a nightmare of meeting his patron, the awakened Goldbillowing Gallivanter. His blade reinforced, the party looted the Spinning Cube from the badger-summoning obelisk before moving on.

They next encountered a pond of seductive sirens whom they disposed of, and on the bottom of the pond were many piles of bones and abandoned items.

Trekking into the central open plains of the Hunting Grounds, they were bulldozed down by a horde of fleeing creatures being chased by a pack of lions, and they also caught a glimpse of a white humanoid shape leaping between the trees, shooting at the horde.

Deciding that the best course of action was not to immediately follow, but to instead discover the poacher's residence a different way, the party came upon what first appeared to be a crumbled old ruin, in front of which stood an abandoned golem once powered by magic. As they investigated the area, vegetation and rubble seemed to give way for the ruin to reform, as slowly an ancient temple grounds dedicated to Emissary appeared before them, a place displaced from time. A high elf, Enoo, rushed out to attend to his constructed creation.

He introduced them to the place, a temple, and surrounding area dedicated to Emissary, which the Archwise Genephos Gephostos III had ripped out of time to shelter them from the calamity that would follow the gods' plan of sacrificing the Iuzucae population. They found shelter in Enoo's home and talked. Arkorow learned of a brief mention of an Arkizer Fiendbolt, a minstrel. Enoo also seemed a bit puzzled by the mention of the name 'Valkas' though not sure where he had heard it.

Their talk was interrupted by the arrival of two of the Archwize's nephews, Virion and Solitaire, who proved themselves very antagonistic, prior to the arrival of the Vileslicer, a high-standing orcish follower of Thrizur.
