Having prayed to Arepo, Arkorow was sure he felt an emboldening presence. As they entered the chambers of Lady Grace, they saw many scattered papers, chairs, and unconscious bodies. She was performing a sort of ritual and seemed to be siphoning magic out of the area and the high elves. It quickly became clear that she served J'Lynh.
As the fight began, chaos ensued as various gifts from Arepo helped the party. Among them were some allies, the Cherub, and the Hound of Arepo.
At some point, time froze, and a cloaked figure entered the giant chambers. The only person who seemed unaffected was Galantar. The two of them went into the painting at the far end of the chambers. Here, in the beyond, was a fragment of J'Lynh, left here as a safety precaution should they fail, and it was safeguarded by the 'Lady Grace'. Galantar and Emissary, the cloaked figure, destroyed the fragment, Galantar absorbing its power in the process. They then left together to some unknown plane of existence, that Galantar may learn to use and contain this power he has taken.
As the fiend, Lady Grace, was destroyed, the magic that had held together the temple grounds for two millennia seemed to evaporate, and everything started to crumble. It seemed to be that every elf in the vicinity had their life sucked out of them by the ritual of Lady Grace, though somehow Lady Ilfae and the Archivist were unscathed. They appeared but decided quickly to leave, with nothing left for them here. Draz found Omooz the Vileslicer, slumped, and aging quickly. He eased his passing as they said their goodbyes and the party buried him not far from the former temple grounds in a somber ceremony.
In lighter news, the party has recruited Nafir, and he is joining them on their adventures.
