The Staten family is one of the wealthiest merchant families in Evershoall. Emmitt the head of the Staten family runs the Staten Exchange, a trade group that is in charge of transport of goods and passengers along the coast from Hallea, to Port Bova and Kingsport, as well as north to Allesanra and east to Selethren. Though the Statens are not a member of the Hallean Council, they wield significant power in the city.
