Visceras is located on the largest of the Windfall Archipelago's islands, Mara's Fang, and sits on the delta valley of the Dragon’s Blood River that feeds out into Blackstrap Bay. This wretched city is constructed out of condemned ships, razed forts, driftwood, and whatever other materials could be scavenged over the years, making it a veritable patchwork maze of narrow streets and dead end alleys that any newcomer will surely find themselves lost in.
Formally, the city gets its name from the multitude of fisheries and slaughter houses that line the Dragon's Blood River, providing the populace with a steady supply of food, and as Mara's Fang lacks much in the way of proper farm land, the river is constantly filled with the discarded waste. Any local, however, would tell you that Visceras truly gets its name from the fact that the red hue of the river is owed just as much to the guts of its residents as it is that of the fish.
Standing above the miasma of the sprawling city is the Crow’s Nest, a grand lighthouse that is home to the throne of the sovereign of the pirates of Windfall. This colossal structure is built on the edge of the Dead Man's cliffs, and from here the dreaded leader of the Archipelago carries out their brutal rule, ensuring that the pirates follow the few but firm codes that keep the nation together.
