Temple to Sune

Sune Firehair is a deity of passion and the delights of the senses. She is the goddess of beauty in all its forms - not just pleasing sights, but also enchanting sounds, luxurious tastes and scents, and the exquisite pleasures of the flesh, from a lover's caress to the brush of silk on the skin. Her worshipers seek out these pleasures in life, not out of mere decadence, but because the experience of pleasure is the touch of Sune herself.

Waterdeep's Temple to Sune is a lavish structure of red marble accented with gold and silver and strewn with many statues of the goddess and her most comely worshipers throughout the history of the faith.

The structure is a combination of temple and pleasure dome, soaring above the neighboring noble villas, with tall towers and a central open-air ballroom that hosts revels many nights of the year. Its marbled public baths and mirrored salons are open from before dawn to after dusk. There’s no fee for basic services, or for the advice and aid of the temple’s many pleasant attendants, but donations are encouraged.

Every full moon, the temple hosts the Grand Revel: A dusk-to-dawn party in which outsiders are invited, dancing and song dominate, and those of the faith seek converts with fun and an exhibition of the temple's beautiful or art objects.
