Even in death, Lif makes an excellent bartender in terms of intuition. Though they require no compensation, their fine motor control isn't the best. They can get around this by more fully manifesting, but this typically only lasts a few hours every few days.

The Lif Special is a custom drink special with some form of liquor (they like to change it each night) on the bottom and another beverage (often ale, sometimes juice) on top. It’s not entirely clear how the ghost is achieving this perfect separation.

A blue-and-green-scaled kobold who loves mixing drinks, though his reptilian palette means they don't always taste quite right in mammalian mouths. He heard about the position through his friends at the Lightsinger Theater, who have long encouraged him to try applying his alchemical knowledge to less... explosive concoctions.

Lillian Haekin

A Zakharan tiefling with fine jewelry wound through her horns. Though she has a modest command of liqueurs, her knowledge of teas is masterful. She has worked in various higher-end establishments for many years but now wants something more relaxed. She's looking for part-time work in order to fund her personal endeavors—opening a luxury import store to bring Zakharan goods to Waterdeep—and decided to look into the position at the recommendation of Fala Lefaliir of Corellon's Crown, a long-time friend.

Seda Mo

Years of Experience: None, though she's spent 20+ cooking for her clan

A serious, no-nonsense orcish young woman who brings her own knives to the interview and handles them with great care. Though she seems a little stand-offish, Chess managed to learn that though she's been cooking all her life, this is her first professional job and she's rather nervous about it.

Turgattan Thornhammer

Required Compensation: 1 dragon per day

A dwarf chef and former adventurer who lost his former companions in the Serpent Hills of Faerûn's Western Heartlands. Though he lacks references, he assures Chess that he handled the cooking for his companions every night for three years, even when that meant boiling things best left unboiled. If he can manage that, he can handle a night's shift in a kitchen with a well-supplied larder!

Reynardo Greenleaf

Years of Experience: 40+ in various cities
Required Compensation: 2 dragons per day

A half-elf mage who uses various cantrips to create truly remarkable concoctions. His dishes are marvels to behold; often with their components performing intricate dances across the intricately-carved plates and platters and stranger dishware they're delivered upon.

Ryba Stoutbrook

Years of Experience: 6 years locally
Required Compensation: 3 shards per day

Ryba is a young halfling currently employed at the Hin-house Hostel, where she is rather tired of having to break up fights and clean up the messes afterwards. She can handle a rough crowd but is a little burnt-out from it at this point and is hoping to work in a quieter part of town. She's surprisingly strong for her small stature and has no problem moving heavy tables and putting up chairs two at a time.

Althaea, Elthaea, Ulthaea

A trio of star elves (maybe triplets??) who float through the air while sitting in a perfect lotus position. Their silver hair stands upright in a halo around their heads. Chess has no idea what their deal is but was impressed when they used telekinesis to serve her a drink. When asked why they were interested in the position, they responded that they had "received a divinatory vision" that they were needed here, and that they will work for a period of twelve months. Also, that tips are important.

Patric Nivka & Tatian Pav

Years of Experience: None (Patric) to less than a year (Tatian)
Required Compensation: 2 shards each per day, can work as often as needed

Patric, a local Illuskan lad, and Tatian, a half-elf hailing from Undercliff Village, applied together. Though a little pushy—if polite—they admitted to Chess after some probing that Patric was kicked out of his parents' house (and the family business) last week when it was discovered they were dating. He stayed briefly with Tatian's family but a lack of space in the Pav household has the young couple rather desperate to find employment and a place of their own. Patric has been working as a woodcutter for a few nibs a day, while Tatian has been working nights at a small tavern for a few shards.

Pasha Peruv

Pasha is a young Tethyrian woman who recently arrived in Waterdeep looking for a fresh start. Though she's never worked in a tavern, she's eager to learn! She likes making small talk and learning about people and is eager to trade stories.

Mae Nobleroot

Years of Experience: 60+ Years in Service from Laundry Maid to Barmaid
Required Compensation: 4 Shard Per Day, Anytime You Need Her

With broad smile and witty responses at the ready, nothing much seems to phase Mae. She moves quickly and can carry two to three tankards in each hand. Chess was very impressed by the gentle but effective scolding she delivered to the Appleton boys when they tried to sneak into the kitchen during the interview! Mae revealed she's raised seven children over the years and drunken fools aren't much different to cranky kiddos, all things considered.

Pryjax Kiltrin

Years of Experience: None, although has years of experience as a mercenary

Pryjax is a mountain of a man even by dragonborn standards, having to duck slightly to walk through the door. His face is set in a scowl and he rarely says much unless asked a direct question—the only information he volunteered without prompting was that the broadsword at his side was registered with the City Watch. His responses to any questioning were short and to the point; he told her that he did mercenary work in Neverwinter for some time but experienced a forced retirement after losing a leg and most of his tail earlier that year. Though the injuries have affected his balance somewhat, he assured her that he remains a capable guard.

Bates “Waverider”

Years of Experience: Less than a year, worked as a sailor for 15+ years

With broad shoulders and the arms to match, Bates seems like a wall when standing in the doorway. Despite the half-orc's impressive stature, he speaks with a laugh in his voice and an easy manner. He explained to Chess that he to be a sailor but after getting married a few years back has left the sea behind. He and his missus recently moved from the Dock Ward and he's looking for work a little closer to home, so he can be more present as they start their family.

Miraj Almina

Years of Experience: 2 years, with 6 years of adventuring
Required Compensation: 1 dragon per day, prefers nights. 3 dragons if cleric services are included.

A Chondathan cleric of Lathander who seems more than capable despite her 5'3" stature and small frame. Her thick golden hair—a boon bestowed upon her by her god, she claims—drapes over one shoulder and her manner of dress favours flexibility over heavy protection. She's a former adventurer who recounted a couple stories to Chess, including a fight at the infamous Well of Dragons. The old couple at Sweet Dreams—mentors of hers—recommended she apply after she bemoaned being bored stiff of her guard job at the Spires of Morning. Although she no longer carries Lathander’s strong blessings, she's also offered her cleric services if employed.
