During liminal periods—such as intercalery days,
solstices, and equinoctes—and other times of fey significance, the dell
is instead transformed by the Midlight Fair.
The quiet graveyard is replaced by raucous singing, cheers of jubilance, and enthusiastic dancing as fey creatures fill the dell. Some from Waterdeep proper and others from the depths of the Feywild, they gather to revel through the night, only to disappear again at dawn. Visiting mortals must be careful to leave before the first rays of the sun fill the dell, lest they be swept elsewhere come dawn.
