A small two-story building faces the south entrance to the alley. Shoes of all varieties are displayed in the windows alongside a large faded sign that reads ‘Going Out of Business, Everything Must Go.’ The sign above the door reads ‘Bakken’s Shoes and Boots for Fine Folk and Others.’
Inside, The store is packed to the gills with shoes and boots of all varieties. Finely-made and sturdy shoes and boots for folks of all shapes and sizes are on display. Despite its full shelves, its proprietor Bertram claims that the store is going out of business. It has, in fact, beengoing out of business for the last 50 years. If questioned on the matter, Bertram claims he’s planning a quest to retrieve his great, great grand uncle’s war axe (the Awkwardly Heavy but Good for Smashing Axe of Lore)—just as soon as he sells enough inventory.
Bertram sometimes works with Baltasar Englehart to create magical footwear.
