Church of Avieskelt

Worshipers

Avieskelt is worshipped by those who seek to either innovate on the magical field or understand natural-magical phenomena like the Unknown and the Unknown. No worship of Avieskelt is allowed in Morkervault, and any worship of him is seen as heretical. Many Elf who try to bring back a piece of their long-lost magical superiority worship him. Some of the craziest, most curious goblins also worship him in hope of a breakthrough. Some Androids also worship him in the hopes that, just like the broke free of Morkervault, one day so will him.

Clergy

Almost all of Avieskelt's priests are sorcerers, wizards or alchemists. Very few people who has access to no magic worship him, since all his ascended existence is related to magic in some way, specially the arcane. Most of his priests teach forms of self studies.

Holy texts

Avieskelt does not have enough mental hold to write sacred texts or declare already written media as sacred. However, he asks his followers to always treat their own notebooks with care as if it was sacred, as it shows their progression on studies and no idea is a dumb idea. Ideas can lead other people to new ideas, and eventually, to incredible breakthroughs.

Write about some form of "unraveling magic weather".

Favored animals

Gods are often associated with certain animals, either because they possess a quality favored by the god, or because the god's faithful feel a special kinship to them. Avieskelt's favored animals include weasels, meerkats and red foxes.

History

Avieskelt Semenov story differs if told by the gnomes of the Morkervault Empire, by his followers, or by the cult of Unknown. On all sides, his tale start with him running away from Morkervault, but the gnomes say that he did it to sell gnomish secrets and knowledge, while his followers say that he did it to run away from the Empire's tyranny. Then, his followers say that he was captured by the cult, while the gnomes and the cult say that he willingly joined it to gain power.

The stories wildly diverge from here. The gnomes, that were hunting him for betraying the Empire, say that he became a leader to the cult, and then betrayed it, by killing the god and absorbing his power. His followers, apparently hearing this from him, say that after being captured by the cult, he was enslaved and tested on until he became way too strong for the cult to control, when he killed the god and absorbed his power. The cult, from its own documents, say that he was able to convince a lot of people to follow him in exchange of power, but he killed them all to gain power himself, then killed Terakhat and absorbed his power.

Either way, nowadays Avieskelt is a broken shell of a god, his mind divided between his own personality, the insanity of wild magic's pure chaos, and Terakhat's power-hungry personality.
