I stumbled upon Hillside merely by chance. The town was clearly growing, well laid out, starting to build with thoughtful architecture. I decided to hang around as there was much to do and discover. After going on a weekend bender, I found a very interesting building that was heavily fortified - it was clearly a challenge for me to determine what was inside. After a few days of heavy monitoring, I realized this city was housing a small, but reputable precious stone reserve. What the town didn’t realize was that those stones were about to be mine.
The only way in would have to be a large scale distraction, because of the central location and difficulty breaking in. I decided to start befriending the locals and spin a story that would spread like a fire through prairie grass - what I didn’t realize was how big this distraction would become. I seeded a story about how ginger folk are actually soulless and are secretly succubus’ in order to remain alive. I thought it was hilarious, but the goal was to create a witch hunt that would take the entire town’s attention. To my surprise it worked, and I lifted a majority of the precious stones.
Near the end of this ruse the town became crazed with hunting down the ginger folk. It started as an exorcism style cleansing, but quickly turned to removing their soulless bodies from this planet. There was so much violence among the villagers it was becoming even unsafe for me as my yellow colored fur was now being looked at as a target for removal. On my last night, a few people captured me and put me on a public trial. It was then that I decided to prove that it was all made up, by none other than myself. Once they all started putting together that I was in fact correct, I slipped out of my restraints and made my way out of the town with haste. I found out later that they have permanent wanted signs at every entrance into the town with my face upon them.
