The Black Syndicate is a large and powerful crime organization in Alterra. They mostly operate out of Cauldron, but factions of the syndicate work in parallel in other cities as well.
The syndicate is thought to own most of the town watch and politicians of Cauldron, leaving them free to do their business as they like. For the most part, this works out for the citizens, as the syndicate, while brutal, are often seen as the lesser of two evils in comparison to the competing gangs of the region. They are criminals, but they are civilized and clean up their own messes.
The Syndicate was formed by its leader, Godwin Halborn.
