On ne sait pas grand-chose de Volkan, outre qu'il est le mari de Mytros. Grand amateur d'artifices et d'artisanat, il est surtout vénéré par les nains, les artisans et les sorciers. Il est représenté sous les traits d'un vieil homme sage (parfois d'un nain). On raconte qu'il parcourt les Terres Centrales lors du solstice d'hiver pour distribuer des jouets et des sucreries aux enfants.
