The Squash Plague

Once upon a harvest, The Demon Moon sent its emissaries among the crops to befoul them and give torment to godly folk. Small farming villages burned, as a demon calling itself Ilemoro became known as the captain of the infected, driving a great host against Oldtown. Only after an entire penal legion had been fully committed to the fray was the demon slain, and the plague extinguished.

Following these events, the Cambion's Archive formed the Seat of Occult Licensure, which heavily limited the practice of magic in Athos, famously leading to the closure of Bartolo House in Boughery Quarter.
