Andarik Sei

Andarik Sei is a Kalashtar warrior and a former member of the Knights of the Eternal Order.

Andarik served as an ally and informant to the party during The Shadows of an Empire.

Appearance

Andarik is imposing, both in height and frame. He is dedicated to training and keeping himself at peak condition, which gives him an intimidating presence.

His hair is quite long, but typically kept tied on top of his head, giving it a deceptive appearance. While rarely seen outside of armor, he tends toward plain, lightweight clothing and prefers skirts to pants.

Personality

Andarik is principally stoic and hardly emotes. However, he is known to have a gentle side and channels this into a drive to protect anyone in a vulnerable position. He is selfless and seems to put most of his energy into either aiding others or conditioning himself to do so.

Like most Va'i, he carries a sense of duty and guilt, which he likewise channels into forward momentum.

Darik

It's uncertain which aspects of Andarik's personality can be owed to his quori. Darik's presence lends him some degree of control over fear, which may allow him to be a more comforting or intimidating presence.

Background

Early Life

While Andarik has shared little of his past, it is implied that he was born to at least one Kalashtar parent in the Va'i lowlands and was trained in the traditional methods of controlling his quori and utilizing its power. He would inherit his quori as a child and dedicated himself to training to protect the material plane from grave extraplanar threats.

As part of this goal, Andarik would at some point join forces with the Kelemvorites and enter the Knights of the Eternal Order, where he would receive further training. He would serve Kelemvor's faithful when possible, but also worked to aid fellow Kalashtar.

Abilities

Andarik is a fearsome fighter and is commonly seen wielding a greataxe. In addition to his martial prowess, he has a limited spellcasting ability as well, owing to his divine oath.

While it is implied that Andarik likely has some low-level psionic abilities, these have yet to be seen outside of his inherent telepathy.

Interactions

The Shadows of an Empire

Aurumvorax first met Andarik at the Temple of Ten Thousand Steps, where he was serving among the Kelemvorites. Although he would disappear for a time to investigate matters in Noravia, he would return in time to participate in the Siege of Myrelda, where he fought alongside Aurumvorax to protect the city from Warforged invaders and Llewellyn's plan to use damaged human souls as weapons.
