Gorathell is the second largest continent of Barator. It has a rich history of warfare and conquest. From the rise of the Erethiel Theocratic Empire to its fall and the Rise of the Sigil Empire. To the war between the now Erethiel Theocracy and the Elven Queendom of Tal to the east. The war has lasted on and off for the past one hundred years, with an unsteady ceasefire in the last fifty years, keeping a fragile peaceful. To the far south is the vast and unexplored Zadim Jungles. The ancient volcanic city of Cindar is the home to the Cindaren people. Beyond the jungle is the expansive and deadly Zultanus. Zultansu is the location of a small portal to the planes of fire, causing the surrounding lands to be extremely unhospitable. The seven great sultans rule over those areas suitable for life. To the southeast is the location of the oldest inhabited port city, which sees trade from the Southern continent of Xarth and Amitan. The port supports both sea-faring ships and Airships. To the east and west of the continent are the countries of Urthag and Hartag, ruled over by the greater Dwarven Banker Guilds.

To the North is the young Imperium of the Sigil (In comparison to the other countries.) Sigil is a Mageocracy, where Sorcerers are the ruling class and other spell casters have greater privileges than those unable to use the arcana.

To the Northeast is the Scourge Lands, a cruised wasteland where dangerous crystals and creatures exist, a remnant from a terrible war that killed the gods over three thousand years ago. This wasteland is surrounded by a 700-meter stone wall known as the Shield, watched over by the Fort City of Custidios ( Kus-ti-di-os).

To the far North are the Zenturian plains ruled over by the fey Centure tribes. Beyond these lands are the mysterious Wyvern woods and the strange country of Tarvaria. To the west of Tarvaria, beyond the Spine of Gorathell, are the mysterious and lonely Mourn lands and massive Forlorn swamps.

Much of the farthest northern region of the continent is unexplored and filled with all manner of ruin and dangers.

Gorathell is also the location of the world's largest Mountain range, the Achlys Mountains, the largest of them rising 12km above sea level. The ancient forest of Forn Vidur is as large as the Queendom of Tal and is said to hold ancient civilization and lost ruins. Many adventurers and mercenaries have entered and very few have returned.

Bos’Van Khalad is another mystery of the continent, a large island constantly surrounded by a thick magical mist. No one who has entered, has ever returned.
