Clear Arcenite

Crystal, storage

Clear Arcenite: A clear crystal that can hold raw arcane engery without bleeding. Clear Arcenite is made through an alchemy process, causing it to become as clear as glass. Some might mistake it for glass at first glance. However there are two ways to tell if one has Clear Arcenite. The first way, is to strike the item with any metallic item. Clear Arcenite is stronger than glass, but when struck it also vibrates, flowed by a high pitched ringing that slowly dissipates. The second, is that it can hold onto light for a few seconds, before the light escapes. Arcenite cost 1000gp for a crystal.

Arcenite can be used instead of magical components. Except for things like resurrection like spells or other powerful spells. (Lvl 8 to 9th lvl spells.) It can also used to make a spell more potent.

Clear Arcenite: Clear Arcenite is not used up in lower lvl spells when used for spell components ( up to 3rd). They also stack better, up to six times. But when a Clear Arcenite is used to increase the potency of a spell it is drained. It can either be used to increase the strength of a spell( DC), or it's potency ( dice damage)

There is rumored to exist something called True Arcanite that is used to cast powerful  and potent spells.
