(3)Rakhnars Story

After the group arrives at the Luna and Hope Inn, Peach approaches the owner, Gorack, a large blue Dragonborn with an old scar on the left side of his face. She hands him the note from Barbarosa. After reading the note, Gorack offers them rent-free board for three nights in exchange for them to go to the Grand Market to buy some supplies. The group decides to take the hour-long walk down to the market, enjoying the beautiful weather and the city's sights. They spend a few hours navigating the massive market and buying Goracks supplies. The group splits up; Peach, Rakhnar, and Mintra leave the market with Gorack supplies. Not far from the inn, they hear a shout for help and see an elder earth genasi, limping after a young black dragonborn running away from him.
The young man runs down a side street when he sees the others. Rakhnar, Peach, and Mintra chase the Dragonborn and follow him to Harllows cemetery, just as the sun sets. As the moon rises, the moonlight strikes a featureless stone monolith behind which the Dragonborn hides. A massive spectral orc steps out and strikes the Dragonborn, turning the poor creature to dust. The spectral orc, now filled with rage, attacks the rest of the group. Rakhnar's axe starts to glow with a soft blue light. He attacks the ghost, and the rest of the group joins in the battle; in that place of death and the lost, a fierce battle is fought, and the group ends the battle with a victorious strike against the wraith-like orc. Mintra removes the stolen braces from his bag of holding; as he does, Rakhnars hears ancient whispers, and as he takes the braces, a portal opens in the featureless stone pillars. Rakhnar tells the group that he must enter alone and will return in four days. He reassures them that he will be safe within and that he will return to the inn when he is done. Slightly confused, Peach and Mintra return to talk to the Elder Earth genasi.
