Talos Amima Ersher Milo
[things that have not yet been shared with the entire party will be highlighted]
We were transported via scroll (special delivery from Lukas via Gleam)to Lukas' family funeral home
As we were transported, each had a brief flash of memory:
Talos had a fragmented, violent memory about something humanoid with yellow eyes attacking them
Ersher heard a voice that said "come see" and "find me"
Amima got an odd sensation from the reaper's dagger, which they were touching in their pocket
Amima heard something in the bushes, so we rushed inside. We heard something charging after us, but were able to lock the door in time. As Ersher went to open a mystery door down the left hallway, Amima spotted a figure in one of the windows. it appeared humanoid, tall, with yellow eyes. Amima makes the others aware of its presence. Ersher casts Thaumaturgy on the door to slam it open from a distance. It reveals a dark stairway. Before heading down, Talos creates a light, and Ersher casts guidance to aid them as they enter the stairway. Amima stays at the head of the stairs.Talos investigates the physical space, while Ersher tries to pick up on more magical traces of deathly energy.
In the main hall, Amima detects a cold presence move past them and into the lobby. It stirs the shards of a vase Ersher broke - then it shatters all the other vases. Amima steps back to observe. The cold spot moves up the stairs, and Amima stealthily follows
In the basement, guided by dim light from their glowing hair, Talos enters a cluttered room. It feels very familiar - in fact, both Talos and Ersher recognize it as an embalming room. It looks like there was some sort of rushed operation took place on the autopsy table. Fluids everywhere, tools scattered. A door across the room leads into a dumbwaiter lift - the door has been left flung open, and there's a hole in the bottom of the lift. it seems like it were violently broken, and bits of debris are leading away from the stairs, towards a ramp.
Amima follows the cold spot upstairs, to the Littles' living quarters. It passes through a closed door. Amima looks out of a second-story window on the grounds; trees, a winding path through the graveyard to a distant mausoleum, and a more private closed-off area to a single grave. Amima notices that the trees are full of shifting figures - at least a dozen, but they're smaller than the earlier figure and do not have yellow eyes. From books they've read, Amima believes they are ghouls; it's extremely odd for them to be in a place so recently abandoned. They also aren't acting typically of ghouls. Ghouls are typically feral and violent, but these are well-coordinated and controlled. They seem to be guarding the grounds. Amima backs away from the window, and approaches the door the ghost entered. They lightly knock on the door, and ask for Lucy (Lucas' sister).
In the autopsy room, the duo investigate a series of vials of various substances. In the fluids on the floor, they spot hand and footprints forming multiples trails leading to the ramp. At this point, they decide to go get Amima. But Amima is not at the top of the stairs. Talos calls out for them, and they meet up on the stairway to exchange the information they gathered thus far. Both of them are shocked that the ghouls outside are behaving in an organized manner. Talos asks Ersher if he's been to a town called Delilah? Ersher confirms that he did, about 12 years ago, when he was 18 - it was one of his first excursions into a plague-ridden town.Talos asks if Ersher remembers how to defeat them - he says don't get surrounded, and hit them with big sticks :) Talos says that they remember seeing Ersher there.
Ghouls: undead flesh that never rots. Can exist forever without feeding, but are always hungry even when they eat.Resistant to necrotic damage. Immune to poison, exhaustion, and being charmed. They can speak common to an extent. Mostly dangerous only in swarms - coordinate as a pack of wolves would.
Ersher peeks out the window, and uses his Eyes of the Undead ability. The group talk over a few possibilities about what could be causing the ghouls to act so strangely. They decide to return to the basement as a group, after Amima attempts to communicate with the ghost. When they try to knock on the door, it slowly creaks open. It looks like a young girl's room that hasn't been touched in a long, long time. The entire room is filled with a cold presence. For a moment, there is a feeling of welcome - but then, panic. Lucy says, "They're here. Run." She loses her form - there is a flash of something dark, outside, in the greenery, low to the ground and broken into different pieces.
So! Where was Lucy trying to point them? Her grave, in the private garden? How will they get there, surrounded by ghouls?? Dun dun dun!
1. Talos & Vorakh (with glowing flower) go down mystery

2. Entire house suddenly gets colder, cold presence shatters all the vases,
Amima follows upstairs
3. Embalming room at bottom of stairs, something escaped from below a
dumbwaiter, left trail
4. Amima spots a bunch of ghouls patrolling, ghost hides in bedroom, Amima knocks
5. We regroup, Talos has flashback at mention of ghouls.

6. Amima finds Lucy’s ghost, who says “they’re here, run,” then Amima has a ‘vision’
of being in a bunch of pieces in the ground outside, and wants to find Lucy’s
grave now
