The Mirror attacks continue

kas has glass in her skin.

harvey grappled into the window. runs out and attacks. non magical weapon not very helpful against.

Paws kills one swarm of glass.

Paws gets glass in her skin too.

as the frost covers her form. a mantle of black feathers drap over Kas and it extends fully over her along with the ice. Feels like being embraced by a good friend. whispers from Valon in Kas's head. "I will always be there to protect you (what was it??)"

The feeling of embrace and safe.

****Bonus Action cry. kas is in shock. end turn. staff ready. Kas doesn't know what this is but SHE HEARD VALON.

Vic sees this and worries it's dangerous. unfamiliar scenario. clouds of glass, now strange feather thing. ((vic may be weirded out about the feathers but there's also a lot he doesn't know about these people!))

Vic is worried about everything that is happening right now. He ran in without armor and is protecting!

Searos awkwardly stumbles into the basin of water. rolls across the bed. my bed is wet. roll off and shoot at one of the glass swarms.

Harvey tries to piece together about whether the glass is resistant to piercing or non magical. Switches to the dagger of first light and calls out it's name so it lights up.

Harvey stabs the glass and it becomes a disco for a bit. harvey mimics the sound of the shattering crunchy mirror.

paws takes glass damage.

Kas heal twin paws and self.

and attack with toll.

Kas shatters the mirror and the shards fall onto the ground below. not normally a darker spell that kas uses but frreaked out a bit

vic is torn and takes inspiration from Kas and also casts Unknown. Also not something that Vic normally uses. more dark! the magic didn't work as well So vic moves us in melee.

Searos disengage and moves away. hops on the dresser, jumps on the bed and jumps over the basin.

Harvey reverses the order of Searos and stabs the glass.

paw punches. more glass on the floor not floating than in the air.

don't pick the glass out. want to help other first.

Kas ends the last glass with more deathy bells.

the bells bring her back to a place.

Paws and Kas pick out the glass from ourselves.

innkeeper runs into our room with an old and rusty pickfork. stable boy has a tool ready to save us. the cook is here with a ladle. Are you all right???

searos offers to make a an art piece or melt it. MELT IT.

seems like the client would most likely call back. we should be proactive. Go look for them says VIC.

where would we even look? no one knows yet.

are mirrors a normal way of talking to people. this mirror could be truly connected.

Searos is gonna go blast the mirror outside and melt. it's scary.

Paws- what if whatever is at the end of tether is where the client is.

searos asks for more information about the mirror. where did it come from, how did it animate?

Vic offers to look a the dustbin of powered glass. no magic anymore on it.

the magic is gone after all the alterations this glass has gone through.

probably magical at some point, broke by highly destructive means. then used by kas/client, then broken into the swirling glass shards and then broken again when they all died.

searos notices Kas eyeing the glass dustbin and burns it all down outside wonderfully. glob of blisters and blackened glass.

while he does that Kas COVERs THE MIRRORS in the room with extra towels.

then sleep for people.

Vic worries about Kas. saw that covers the mirrors. offers to put out a silver wire to help alarm the room.

"Ori?" in Auran? (spectral feathers curl around her body. little by little as the spell fades. frost fades off the feathers first then the feathers go in puff of shadow. As they fade, Thank you in Auran and Common.)

Paws and Kas are sore from the burrowing of the glass.

Paws sleeps in. Paws does not want to do anything. needs rest. Spends a lot of time looking at the opal she has and all the info she got yesterday. moving meditation. working on her forms. internalizing everything. stepping on a piece of glass, swearing in abyssal. How does abyssal work in everything. why is it she first language and why does a founding member of a city find a random child and raise it??? Asks Kas for time alone. (kas gives her a scratch and walks outside to osvelt)

Harvey is gonna go to the river and fish!

Searos wants to go outside too. turn into an animal that eats fish. Bears eat fish but a little far down for them. Cranes, herons, pelicans are options.

Osvelt is looking for his armor. realizes its with the armorer and pulls out plain clothes. Checks on the door to verify that the alarm wasn't broken. Kas goes to find Osvelt and ask about armor.

Vic asks about kasiana about her use of toll the dead. her spell worked better than his.,

Lots of PRACTICE. Neither Vic nor Kas likes the feeling that the spell gives but it seemed needed yesterday.

I'd rather not die again. can I come along and get something to help me not die again. I got pretty bloody yesterday.

Vic offers some ideas, leather armor. we get attacked a lot at night.! maybe should sleep in armor.

Vic and Kas goes to the a more. gives back the beautifully done armor. tarshined gold. enameled in brighter gold, white accents and the sun in the center. very loveling oiled a polished. armorer is proud of the fine detailed work. a real joy to work on. apprentice and him worked pretty late. apprentice (nephew) is now tuckered out and it was a really special bonding moment. THank you for the opportunity.

Vic whistles in amazement. a true knack for this! made my day, maybe my week, maybe even my month.

Kas wants some armor. something light, maybe under her shirt. experimental design. but there might be a need. influx of folks from waterdeep to here. travel light but protected so the armorer was wipping this out for a rainy day. Chain shirt that has leather woven between the rings and alternates. holds it on kas and makes some minor adjustments. produces a nice fit. Changing room. puts it on.

Vic is feeling weird about not being good at what he does best. Wants to try and find a magical weapon. Kas follows. daggerford isn't really the place for magical weapons. Waterdeep or the interesting group of people we are meeting tonight. or Ashen Tamorr. (prob not)

Searos decides to turn into a reddish brown bear instead of a bird. While Harvey is fishing, searos is chasing down fish and throwing them on shore. waits until he is at the river to turn.

Searos isn't a great fish caster. Harvey is catching the fish out of searos's path. Good job harvey.

Harvey has caught a solid pile of rainbow trout. attracted some attention as a handful of other fisherman. and at the wooden watchtower, a cluster of guards.

Searos returns to humanoid. head sizzles and bursts back into flames. "water is not my element". what are they all looking at??

First time for everything.

Harvey sees a young child and holds up a gold coin to them. little dwarven boy, maybe 10, little bit of scruff. wide eyed. looks between everyone and keeping an eye on searos. Harvey says in broken dwarvish. "you want gold?? you want fish?? get grill! Searos makes fire. Big lunch!"

the kid looks at Harvey blankly and say "Just because I'm a dwarf doesn't mean I speak dwarvish"

Harvey repeats in common.

6 family members come back! they bring a big heavy cast iron grill. set up and a feast of fish! Family fish grill. traditional family fish grill.

A crowd develops. Searos and Harvey have created a community event on the banks of the delimbier river. It's a wonderful time. It's bearcrow day. or crowbear day!!

as we all return after our various day. A young girl knocks at our door. part of the staff at the inn. A big giant bundle for all of us. Master Terry package delivery.

Vic doesn't have a lot but gives her 5 silver.

Our outfits!!

Searos wants Paws to walk the catwalk in her new outfit.

Paws: warm tones, hole for the tail. centerpiece is the little vest that can be open or closed. deep burgundy broket fabric. sleeves are stiffer and come out just beyond her shoulder. loose pleated trousers that are of the same material. trimmed in metallic brassy fabric. not as bright as gold, more deeper.

Harvey: no red. DARK. a really simple black but elegantly made, high quality fabric tunic. that goes down to his knees the only bright part is a black belt with a silver belt buckle. don't wear shoes. the whole outfit comes with leather black bracelets that go around feet. silver studs.

Kas: straightforward garment. simple, floor length dress, purple and black. cut remind her of what she wore in the tavern. feels like she can move in it. not restrictive like a lot of formal wear.

Vic: an outfit that matches the cloak from adeeena beautifully. very flexible and comfortable. provided with a nice undershirt that has a drawstring and a matching vest to the cloak that can be fastened with a couple of buttons/

Searos: asked for nothing at all. Searos would rather look out of place or not go.

If there are any embellishments, go ahead.

Harvey tests if his clothes are stab proof. Not murder speed, but medium stab. there was resistance but it still stabbed through! they made an attempt and the tailor worked so hard to try and figure it out. lined it with leather. harvey will bandage his hand. stabbed his hand.

we try them on.

As the sun goes down, we get a knock at the door from the innkeeper. a Coach is waiting outside for us. Enjoy your evening.

beautiful carriage drawn by 4 black horses. no insignia. non descript but haven't ever even seen carriages liek this before.

the driver jumps down from his seat and opens the doors for us.

kas is starstruck.

as the sun is setting over the sea, we approach the Dukal Castle

at one time, it was a residence. once was a large manor and then expanded into a more fortified structure. over daggerford.

we enter into the castle grounds.

ushered out and into the great hall that is alit with candles. it has been outfitted with long rows of tables. filled with jugs of drinks of every variety.

roasts of a variety of animals. there is poultry present. fish, pastries, a volume of food that is a huge amount. nothing that Kas would have ever seen all at once at her nights at the tavern. ostentatious.

There are guests. many people here.

The duke catches our eyes
