The Stone Ribs are said to be the petrified remains of a ancient god that was slain eons ago, their curved peaks defying gravity and nature to soar into the clouds. The mountains are said to be impassable by normal means, requiring travelers to navigate around the Giant's toes which leads to a narrow valley between peaks.
Known denizens or this area are hill dwarfs, stone giants, warring orc tribes, nomadic goblin bands and the occasional more threatening monster.
