the halestrome mines were originally formed by the careful craftsmanship of the original dwarven clans for over 400 years before it was attacked by demonic incursions in the depths of the mountains heart.
one of the only remaining deposits of Ever-Burning Ember, it has both magical and alchemical properties. the mines also held veins of gold, silver, mithril, & adamantium.
