Air genasi, comely and agile but not especially bright, with an uncanny and rare gift for reading and manipulating the currents of air around him.  He has created a stealth and speed-based fighting style (that of the lightbender ranger) that only he can manifest, recently enhanced by the compeltion of his Nature's Mantle.  He can form aerial mirrors and blinds through his breath and willpower that can momentarily mask him from conventional sight and, more remarkably, can read the residual magic power diffused into the atmosphere by persistent spell effects (ie. Detect Magic at will).

Origin point unknown, but likely tied to other planetouched and ultimately leading to a distaste for them and the old ways of Turath.  Despite being young, his oft-stated belief is that trying to revive any facet of 'the old ways' for the benefit and progress of today's people is folly.  He sincerely fears the revival of magical warfare and planar incursions, but is still naturally curious.  As such, he's taken great interest in the presumably-benevolent Journeyman.

Re: The 'Enclave'
Zeer calls himself a 'brother' in the group and absolutely doesn't want a leadership role.  His charisma, confidence and competence as a ranger has bolstered the folks here more than he knows, but intertwining with them has made him dependent on the community for various needs and instilled a deep fear of loneliness.  A seed of doubt regarding the group has been planted given the mysterious tidbits discovered from B'ob's Die.  Still, Zeer trusts them enough as of the Castle reclamation adventure to inform them of the places soul-siphoning effect, and he still turns to various townsfolk for physical companionship.

Halfling families in the group are close enough to Zeer that he picked up their language.

Permanently forgot his origins as part of the ritual of negation.  He can't even re-learn it (immediate short term memory loss) if the info is presented to us.  However, he can retain ancillary information; for example, he remembers being told that the sinister lab behind the waterfall once belonged to a man who looked just like him, but he'll never be able to close the loop and discover how this might tie into his own life.

(His strange name is an attempted phonetic spelling of zrcadlo, the Czech word for mirror. Tribute to my heritage and to the lightbender ranger's ability.)
