The dead rise!
Directly beneath the new storm, and matching its intensity precisely, all the charred corpses of the nameless town PLUS those of Finneous and ~ Armand "Sev" Pogodi returned to a semblance of life. They were limited by various injuries but were otherwise lucid, with the townsfolk being passive and confused whereas the rivals were full of hateful barbs for one another.
Finneous taunted ~ Zeersedlo about the doom befalling his kin back home, due to the demonic disease/corruption his allied Unknown likely caused. He was utterly unrepentant and could not be silenced by any means, despite much mutilation.
As the storm wound down, it became clear that Sev's animation would end; he bade the party to perhaps find a way to bring him back and certainly wished for his sister's soul to be saved, but was otherwise at peace with death as far at the Silver Stars could tell. They bundled his corpse up for transport.
Around the same time, early in the storm but post-battle, two new faces joined the group in the nameless village...
