Maerial grew up modest with a single mother in a ramshackle apartment in a run down neighborhood. Though in her young childhood she lived in a great mansion in the outskirts of town, when her father went away on a diplomatic mission and never returned because he was hanged for treason, life changed for those he left behind.
Maerial has 6 siblings.
Already from a young age Maerial was attracted to the wilderness, among the woods and animals, where she found refuge from the accusing glares of townspeople and insults about her father. She became an outlander after she was falsely accused of murder. She is now looking to find out what happened to her father and to clear her own name.
She became a bard because she felt the need to share the inspiring the movements and adventures of nature with others, and brings them to the masses through song and tales.
Maerial uses these inspirational songs to give guest performances across the land. After her performances she has a way (encourage generous drinking) of getting people to talk and share their intel.
She never stays in one place too long for fear of people figuring out that she is a wanted, though wrongly accused, criminal.
