The Von Zarovich family is the ruling family of Barovia. Its patriarch is King Strahd Von Zarovich. Most remaining members of the family live in Barovia, though there are some Von Zarovich family descendants in Faerun, especially on the Sword Coast North and surrounding the Sea of Fallen Stars.
