Barovia is a pocket dimension in The Shadowfell. It is ruled by a vampire named Strahd Von Zarovich. It is a dangerous and melancholy land, plagued by undead and curses. Most of Barovia's inhabitants have no souls. Barovia is surrounded by deadly mists, and is nearly impossible to leave, especially without the permission of Strahd.
